Awards & Accolades
Below is just a sampling of the awards and accolades received by Brent and June Wilson.
Rutland Herald
Iron men, wooden boats
Brent fabricated a table-size block of Vermont Danby marble with a slanted top, and then sandblasted a picture of a World War II PT boat (short for "patrol torpedo") as well as inscribed "In Honor of the Iron Men...". Two steel metal plaques were then inlaid into the marble. The memorial is located National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, also known as "The Punchbowl" in Hawaii.
